Angel Almaraz (Damian Chapa) is an honest Mexican-American cop who has lead an average life due to his inability to play the game of politics to move up the ranks. One night, during Angel s shift, he saves Fernando, a rich, aristocratic man who offers him a job as head of security. Angel`s life quickly changes as he begins a life around many rich, famous singers (Maricela) and gangsters (Miguel Angel Rodriguez) where Angel and his family are torn apart with what they thought would be a better life. His life, family and work are in jeopardy where ultimately Angel has to decide which way to go.
