Part Dog. Part Machine. All Best Friend. Nino, his Mother, Juliet and their dog Rex are out on a sunny afternoon in the park. When the absent-minded scientist, Alex, walks into the path of an oncoming car, Rex sacrifices himself to save the man's life. To repay his debt, Alex operates on the dog back at his lab. The procedure is a success, but not what Nino and his Mom had in mind. Rex has been implanted with a computer chip giving him amazing new super powers. Little does anyone know that Alex's partner, Erica, has her own plans for the dog. Part of a techno-crime trio, Erica and her partners plan on selling the chip to the highest bidder. Catching a super-dog poses a problem, however, so they decide to kidnap Nino, hoping that Rex will come to the boy's rescue. Be careful what you wish for...Rex is a dog who has learned some new tricks!
