Living in Uganda's Queen Elizabeth National Park they treat the place like they own it. Never far from trouble, they're a boisterous, cheeky, and extremely mischievous troop of Banded Mongooses. But don’t be taken in by their cute looks. These are hard-nosed survivors who hide a terrible secret. Unlike other social animals the unruly banded mongoose lives in family groups with more than one breeding female. This and other unique and fascinating behaviour has brought them to the attention of scientists from Cambridge University who have been studying these lively creatures for over ten years with the Banded Mongoose Research Project.
